Rae Taylor

Manager, Education Partnerships at Steppenwolf Theatre Company

Rae Taylor is the Manager of Education Partnerships at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Previously, they served as the Program Director at archi-treasures, where they developed budgets, scopes, objectives, and timelines for public art, design/build, and place making projects. Rae also planned and implemented arts-based initiatives and community events at program sites including five affordable housing developments, social services and schools. In addition, Rae facilitated community engagement opportunities and stakeholder meetings as part of project design and production processes.

Before their time at archi-treasures, Rae was the Event Manager at AtkCo. In this role, they were responsible for planning and executing events of all sizes. Rae also managed a team of event coordinators and was responsible for developing event budgets and proposals.

Rae began their career as a Visiting Lecturer at the Art Institute of Chicago. In this role, they taught classes on art history and museum studies. Rae also oversaw the development of curriculum and organized field trips for students.

Rae Taylor has a bachelor's degree in business management and marketing from Columbia College Chicago. Rae is certified in Scrum Foundation from CertiProf and holds a professional certificate in Zoom Certification from Happily. Rae is also certified as a wedding coordinator from Happily.

Rae Taylor reports to Megan Shuchman, Director of Education. They work with Abigail Thompson - Teaching Artists, Dana Murphy - Teaching Artists, and Tyra Bullock - Teaching Artists.
