Skylar Canas has work experience in various roles and companies. In 2019, they worked as an Energy Assistant Database Administrator at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC, where they focused on developing skills in Quorum Software, ensuring data integrity, and data manipulation. In 2018, Skylar was involved in a student group project with 2 classmates, developing an ASP.NET Core MVC application for the non-profit organization Appalachian Prison Book Project. They also worked as a Streets & Water Assistant for the City of Cameron, where they independently read and recorded water meters in various environmental conditions and obtained readings from risky areas safely and efficiently.

Skylar Canas attended West Virginia University from 2014 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, specifically in the field of Management Information Systems.
