Susan Olavarria

Susan Olavarria is an experienced professional in government relations and public affairs, currently serving as the Vice President at Stericycle since March 2021, where responsibility includes global advocacy on legislation and public policy initiatives. Prior to this role, Susan worked at ComEd as Corporate Affairs Manager, leading a governmental affairs team after a strategic campaign planning initiative. Susan also served as Governmental Affairs & Communications Director for Edison International, where efforts resulted in significant expansion of wind farm projects. As the founder of Olavarria Public Relations, Susan provided consulting services in PR and communications, including work with BP Amoco, and gained early career experience with the City of Chicago. Education includes an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a certificate in Strategic Leadership from Columbia Business School, along with a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Columbia College Chicago.
