Irene Augusteijn

Irene Augusteijn possesses extensive legal expertise, currently serving as Voorzitter and Lid of the independent complaints commissions for Veilig Thuis Midden-Brabant and Sterk Huis since November 2022. As a Senior Legal Advisor for the Nationaal Rapporteur Mensenhandel en Seksueel Geweld tegen Kinderen since May 2022, Irene has contributed to the fight against human trafficking and sexual violence against children. Previous roles include leadership in various independent complaints committees and significant positions at the Openbaar Ministerie, focusing on narcotics, money laundering, and child protection against sexual exploitation.
