John McElravey

John McElravey, CFA has extensive work experience in the financial sector. John is currently an Executive Director/Senior Fixed Income Analyst specializing in Structured Products at Sterling Capital Management LLC. Prior to that, they worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston as a Markets Specialist, where they advised policy makers on credit and counterparty risk and led a team of analysts.

John also held roles at Wells Fargo Securities as a Managing Director, where they focused on fixed income strategy and credit, and at AAM - Insurance Investment Management as a Portfolio Manager & Trader, responsible for managing a multi-billion dollar Structured Products portfolio.

Earlier in their career, John worked at Banc One Capital Markets Inc as a Director/Senior Strategist, conducting credit and quantitative research on asset-backed and non-agency mortgage-backed securities. John also worked at Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Co. as a Vice President/Ratings Analyst, where they rated asset-backed securities and managed a team of analysts monitoring the credit risk and performance of ABS deals.

John McElravey, CFA holds an MBA in Finance, Economics, and Statistics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Prior to that, they earned a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Saint Louis University. In addition to their degrees, John has also obtained several certifications including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute, as well as the Series 24, Series 63, and Series 7 from FINRA.
