Marianne O'Connor has a long and varied work experience. Marianne began their career in 1990 as the CEO of Sterling Communications, Inc., where they worked closely with technology clients facing difficult situations. In 2004, they took on the role of Communications Strategy and Team Lead at BT, where they assessed the communications team effectiveness, developed new internal/external communications processes, and led all communications efforts around the corporate transformation effort from UK PTT to global provider of networked IT services. In 2006, they assumed the role of CMO at Juniper Networks, where they built out a new managed services marketing capability, developed the first globally integrated marketing plan in the company's history, integrated 8 disparate regional websites into a single international multi-lingual site, and increased employee satisfaction in the marketing department by 22%. In 2017, they became the Head of Marketing and Communications at Health2047, where they were responsible for developing the marketing strategy and directing program execution for this AMA-founded company. Finally, in 2022, they became a Board Member for Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.

Marianne O'Connor graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
