Catie McDermott

Catie McDermott is a dedicated nursing professional with extensive experience in both clinical and public health settings. Currently serving as a Specialist at Sterling IRB since October 2021, Catie has previously volunteered as a Public Health Nurse at the Fulton County Public Health Department, administering COVID-19 vaccines. Catie's clinical background includes a Registered Nurse position at Emory Healthcare, where responsibilities involved preparing patients for invasive cardiac procedures and providing post-procedural care and education. Earlier roles include serving as an RN focused on modifications and safety reports at Sterling IRB, and as a Level II Staff Nurse in a Medical Surgical ICU at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta. Catie began their nursing career as a Nurse Extern in the Medical Surgical Trauma ICU at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
