Monica Crumback is a Structured Literacy Coach at the Stern Center for Language and Learning, having been in the role since June 2021. In this position, Monica provides remote lesson observations and feedback to educators, develops content presentations, and coaches educators on structured literacy, emphasizing phonological awareness, reading, and spelling. Prior to this, Monica served as the Curriculum and Instruction Manager at SLD Read from January 2016 to July 2021, where responsibilities included driving initiatives for individuals with dyslexia and enhancing educator training. Earlier experience includes directing the Children's Dyslexia Center of West Michigan and tutoring students with dyslexia. Monica holds a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in English Language and Literature from Western Michigan University, along with specialized training in Orton-Gillingham methodologies.
