Jon Sternstein

Jon Sternstein founded and served as the CEO of Stern Security since November 2014. From March 2012 to March 2017, they were a mentor at SANS Institute, where they taught network penetration testing and ethical hacking. From June 2012 to November 2014, they worked as an Information Security Officer for a healthcare company, and from June 2006 to June 2012, they were a Senior Information Security Engineer for a financial company. Jon began their career as a Network Administrator at an education institution from February 2004 to June 2006 and briefly worked as a NOC Operator for a legal company in 2002.

Jon Sternstein earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science from SUNY Geneseo in the year 2003. In 2010, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². Jon later obtained the GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification from the SANS Institute in September 2011.
