Larry Correll-Hughes

Larry Correll-Hughes is the current interim Co-VP and AVP of Campus Life and Student Success as well as the Executive Director of Residential Living and Learning at Stetson University. Larry has worked at Stetson University since January of 2017 and has been in their current position since July of 2021.

Before taking on their current role, Larry served as the Assistant VP for Campus Life and Student Success as well as the Exec. Director of Residential Living and Learning. In this role, Larry was responsible for the strategic direction of residential education, learning initiatives, housing operations and administration for over 2000 residents. Under Larry's leadership, the department saw significant annual improvements in all three metrics of the national Mapworks EBI Resident Satisfaction survey for four years in a row. Additionally, Larry oversaw the annual revenue generation of $15 million for the university.

As AVP, Larry provided strategic direction and coordination of division enrollment and transitions initiatives impacting student experience and belonging as well as retention and persistence.Larry also oversaw the department of Student Development and Campus Vibrancy which is comprised of the Carlton Union Building, orientation, first-year and transition programs, SGA, student orgs and activities, campus programs, fraternity & sorority life, leadership programs, & student media.

Larry Correll-Hughes completed a PhD in College Student Affairs Administration from The University of Georgia, an MSEd in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Baylor University, and a BS in Political Science with minors in Theirtory and Psychology from Texas A&M University.
