Mitch Alger

Mitch Alger is a seasoned professional in public administration and finance, currently serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Finance for Steuben County since September 2020. Prior to this role, Mitch held various positions, including Assistant Director of Municipal Utilities at Bath Electric Gas & Water Systems and Deputy County Manager for Steuben County. Experience also includes serving as County Administrator and Deputy County Administrator for Allegany County, alongside roles as Senior Management Analyst and Management Analyst in Yuma County. Mitch Alger holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University at Albany and a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and Psychology from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
