Marica Pesce

Marica Pesce currently serves as the Inspection System Owner and Optical Specialist at Stevanato Group since November 2019. Previously, Marica conducted PhD studies at Heriot-Watt University from November 2014 to October 2019, focusing on the development of computational methods for improved neuronal fiber orientation estimation using diffusion Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). In 2013, Marica completed a Master's thesis project at the Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Center within the Center for Biomedical Imaging in Lausanne, Switzerland, in collaboration with Siemens Healthcare, which evaluated the effects of Compressed Sensing to reduce Dark Rim Artefacts in Perfusion Cardiac MRI. Marica holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering - Medical Imaging from Heriot-Watt University, a Master’s Degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Padova, and a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field from the same institution.
