Peter Popolo

Peter Popolo currently serves as a Teaching Associate Professor at Stevens Institute of Technology, where responsibilities include teaching the Senior Design course in Biomedical Engineering and various specialized courses in the Biomedical Engineering Department. As the founder and iOS Developer at Digital Health Applications, Popolo develops iOS applications and bioinstrumentation to support clinical research. Previous experience includes consulting as a Voice Scientist at VoiceMed, where contributions involved developing machine learning code for audio analysis related to COVID-19 screening. Popolo also held significant roles at KayPENTAX Inc. as the Technical Product Manager overseeing advanced medical systems, and at the National Center for Voice and Speech as a Research Scientist and Engineer. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa, alongside multiple degrees in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University and additional certifications in vocology and commercial design.
