Wendi Liu is a Principal Scientist and Group Leader at the Science and Technology Facilities Council, where they lead advancements in computational science. They graduated with a BEng in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, University of Glasgow, and Harbin Engineering University in 2011, and later earned a Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Fluid-Structure Interaction from the University of Strathclyde in 2015. Wendi has published numerous articles and papers and has contributed to significant projects in offshore renewable energy. Prior to their current role, Wendi served as a Research Associate and a part-time Research Assistant, enhancing their expertise in numerical modelling and testing for marine energy applications.
