Joel Gonzalez

Joel Gonzalez has a wide range of experience in various industries. Joel served as the Chief Information Officer at Sexing Technologies, where they expanded technology options, implemented cloud migration, and developed new solutions for the genetics lab. Joel also worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Gamma Holdings / Transcast, where they designed and implemented IT architecture and managed the IT team and vendors. At VeriFone, they served as the CTO / COO for Latin America and the Caribbean, where they implemented a payment-as-a-service platform and reduced costs by 40% in Mexico. Prior to that, they were the Latin America IT Director at Walmart, where they led IT solutions delivery and achieved significant savings. Joel also worked at Deloitte as a Consulting Director, establishing IT consulting services and overseeing the start-up of Walmart Bank. Additionally, they served as the Strategic Consultant Services Director at Unisys and the Operations Director at EDS de México, where they managed large operations and achieved business targets. Joel began their career at Booz Allen Hamilton as an Account Operations Manager, handling IT assessments and architecture design projects.

Joel Gonzalez has a diverse education history. Joel earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, attending from 1983 until 1988. Joel later pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, completing the program from 2001 to 2003.

In addition to their academic achievements, Joel has obtained several certifications. In March 2014, they obtained a Cobit certification. In February 2014, they earned an ITIL Foundations certification. Most recently, in November 2022, Joel obtained the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
