Karin Mataheroe-Schmidt

Karin Mataheroe-Schmidt is an experienced professional currently serving as Advisor to the Board and Head of the Staff Office at De Jeugd- & Gezinsbeschermers since November 2022. Previously, Karin held the position of Quality Manager at Atria kennisinstituut voor emancipatie en vrouwengeschiedenis, where responsibilities included policy development and process improvement. A career break from February 2019 to February 2022 allowed for family activities, including homeschooling during the Covid lockdown. Prior roles include Pro Deo Consultant and Budget Coach at VluchtelingenWerk Utrecht, WEU Strategic Consultant at Huawei Technologies, and various management positions at Orange Communications SA, where significant accomplishments included launching a major mobile venture and establishing the company's first strategic program office. Karin holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering & Management Science from Eindhoven University of Technology.
