Stella Verkuijl

Stella Verkuijl has an extensive background in child protection and behavioral science, with over two decades of experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Gedragswetenschapper and Gezinsvoogd/Jeugdbeschermer at De Jeugd- & Gezinsbeschermers since September 2000, Stella has also contributed to the collaborative initiative "Denktank voor ieder kind een thuis" in the Zuid-Kennemerland and IJmond regions while working for Gemeente Haarlem from April 2020 to September 2022. Prior to these roles, Stella worked as a Pedagogisch medewerker at Horizon Jeugdzorg from September 1998 to September 2000, supporting at-risk youth aged 12 to 18. Stella’s educational qualifications include a master's degree in (ortho) Pedagogiek from the University of Amsterdam and accreditation as an Orthopedagoog-Generalist NVO, achieved through the King nascholing and Jeugdzorgacademie from 2015 to 2019.
