Sandra Plasschaert has extensive experience in the fields of press and communication, serving as a freelance press officer for Stichting tegen Kanker since April 2019. As the owner of Cats Communication, a creative press and communication agency since November 2010, Sandra has developed strong skills in corporate communication. Previous roles include being a board member at Zorghuis Gent from March 2013 to August 2017, and holding press and communication positions at Artexis and Flanders Expo between 1995 and 2011. Sandra began their career as an assistant for EMI Music's marketing team and worked as a recruitment consultant at Bright Plus. Academically, Sandra holds a Master’s degree in Translation (English-French-Dutch) and a postgraduate degree in Business and Marketing Communication from HOGENT.

Onze Stichting heeft slechts één ambitie: vooruitgang maken in de strijd tegen kanker. De Stichting financiert het werk van vele onderzoekers aan de Belgische universiteiten. De Stichting biedt informatie, sociale hulp en steun aan mensen met kanker en hun naasten. De Stichting draagt bij tot preventie en opsporing o.a. via een ruime verspreiding van wetenschappelijk gevalideerde informatie. --- Notre Fondation n'a qu'une seule ambition : faire progresser la lutte contre le cancer. La Fondation finance les travaux de nombreux chercheurs dans les universités belges. La Fondation fournit des informations, une assistance sociale et un soutien aux personnes atteintes d'un cancer et à leurs proches. La Fondation contribue à la prévention et au dépistage par le biais, entre autres, d'une large diffusion d'informations scientifiquement validées.
