Chelsey Perron

Chelsey Perron has over 10 years of professional work experience in sales, marketing, and hospitality. In 2020, they began working as a Sales Consultant for Sticker Mule. In 2019, they Co-Founded MIXT Costa Rica, a "farm-to-fork" restaurant in San Jose, sourcing ingredients from local farmers while promoting healthy eating and a plant-based diet. From 2018-2019, they worked as a Business Development and Travel Agent Specialist for Namu Travel Group, serving as the local expert and contact for Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Belize, and Guatemala. In 2017, they worked as a Copy Writer & Account Manager for Awaken Studio NYC, consulting with clients on how to improve their online presence and increase sales through thoughtful copy writing strategy. Chelsey also served as a Guest Services Manager for Finca Bellavista Treehouse Community in 2017, welcoming and orienting guests to the sustainable off-grid treeshouse community/rentals in Southern Costa Rica. From 2014-2016, they were the Owner & Editor for Taproot Travel, curating articles and reviews relating to travel trends, education abroad, hotels and tours in Latin America & Abroad. Chelsey also worked as an Area Sales Manager for Crestline Hotels & Resorts in 2016 and as a Spanish Interpreter for Fayette County Public Schools in 2015. In 2015, they were also a Sales & Marketing Manager for Marriott Hotels and a Blogger/Writer for CAKE&WHISKEY MAGAZINE & GATHERINGS.

Chelsey Perron attended the University of Kentucky from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a BA in International Studies and a BA in Spanish with a focus on Latin American Global Environment. In 2011, they studied Spanish Language and Literature at Universidad de Costa Rica UCR. In 2010, they attended Universidad de Belgrano to study Intermediate Spanish language and Latin American History. Chelsey also attended Woodford County High School from 2005 to 2008. In addition, they hold a NAUI Scuba Certification from NAUI Worldwide.
