James Garner

James Garner has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. James began their career at Next World Web in 2013 as a Developer, where they migrated legacy ecommerce systems to different platforms and automated WordPress theme creation. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Data Scientist at Relative Insight, developing web scrapers and publishing language normalization algorithms. James then had a brief internship at DataCentred in 2014, where they co-delivered a customer support app and implemented LDAP support.

In 2016, Garner joined PlayStation as a Developer, where they worked on full stack engineering and took leadership in the application's frontend strategy. James also provided AngularJS training to senior engineers. After that, they worked at Beamery from 2017 to 2018 as a Developer, being an early hire and mentoring junior developers and interns.

In 2018, Garner co-founded a technology company as part of the Entrepreneur First program. James then served as a Senior Consultant at Arcadia Group Ltd, helping with the company's engineering transformation and replatforming to React. Most recently, Garner is the CEO of Sticky, a company focused on improving consumer interactions with stickers. James aims to transform physical spaces and increase revenue. James Garner attended Lancaster University from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. During their time at the university, they also studied Advanced German from 2012 to 2013.
