Sam Rothwell

Sam Rothwell is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in fixed income and secondary trading markets. Currently serving as Managing Director and Global COO of Fixed Income at Stifel Financial Corp., Sam leads a team of over forty individuals across multiple European offices, focusing on strategic execution post-Brexit. Previous roles include Director positions at Knight Capital Group and Goldman Sachs, where Sam specialized in structuring and closing secondary loan transactions while managing client relationships with major hedge funds and banks. An earlier career at Credit Suisse involved managing significant risk in leveraged finance, complemented by foundational experience at Bayerische Landesbank in financial reporting. Sam holds a Master's degree in International Business from the University of Auckland and a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies from Massey University.
