Johannes Schroeten

Johannes Schroeten is a seasoned professional in climate policy and sustainability, currently serving as Senior Referent Politik at Stiftung KlimaWirtschaft since November 2022. Prior roles include Interim Head of European & International Politics and Policy Advisor at E3G, as well as freelance consulting for climate finance at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Johannes has also held positions such as Junior Advisor and Intern in GIZ's Climate Finance Readiness Program and contributed to sustainability research at imug | rating. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment from UCL, a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies from Maastricht University, and an exchange semester in Political Economy and Philosophy at The University of Hong Kong.
