Still Serving Veterans
James King has a diverse work experience, starting from 2008 as a Director of Officer Recruitment for the US Navy. James then transitioned to Arizona State University in 2010, where they worked as a Director of MBA Recruitment and Strategic Management. In 2011, they joined Adtalem Global Education, holding positions such as Director of Recruitment and Admission for the Military and Veteran Affairs at Chamberlain University, and Regional Manager of Military Affairs for DeVry University. In 2018, James became the National Manager of the North American Consumer Sales Division at Berlitz Corporation. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Programs Officer for Still Serving Veterans.
James King has a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. James also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing from the University of Phoenix. In addition to their formal education, James has obtained various certifications, including "Career Strategies for Women Re-Entering the Workforce after 2020" from LinkedIn in September 2022, "Writing a Resume" from LinkedIn in September 2021, "Veterans at Work Certificate" from the SHRM Foundation in October 2020, "Talent Sourcing" from LinkedIn in June 2020, "Adult Learning Techniques" from AchieveForum in July 2008, "Instructor/Trainer - Professional Selling Skills Application" from Achieve Global in July 2008, and "Instructor/Trainer Professional Sales Coaching" from ACHIEVE GLOBAL in July 2008.
Still Serving Veterans
Still Serving Veterans, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, established in Huntsville, Alabama in 2006, provides Veterans and their families, transitioning service members, and members of the Guard and Reserves with employment services including career planning, job search strategy development, resume preparation, and interview preparations. Additionally, we work closely with Veteran-friendly employers to fill positions with well-qualified, screened Veterans. All services are provided at no charge to either client or employer. In addition, through its Huntsville office, Still Serving Veterans provides VA Benefits and Services counseling and can connect Veterans and their families in need of assistance from other public and private service providers. Still Serving Veterans recently received the Nonprofit of the Year award from the Huntsville/Madison Chamber of Commerce, the Nonprofit of the Year from the Madison Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau's Torch award for ethics. Additionally, Still Serving Veterans is a recipient of the Call of Duty Endowment's (CODE) coveted Seal of Distinction. Still Serving Veterans is a trusted advocate for Veterans and their families and participates on the Governor's Alabama Veterans Network Executive Commission (AlaVetNet), the VA's new My VA, and several regional coalitions of Veterans organizations.
