Still Serving Veterans
Jaymie Testman has extensive experience in veteran support and counseling, currently serving as a VA Disability VSO at Still Serving Veterans since February 2017, advocating for veterans in establishing and reviewing VA Disability Benefits. Additional roles at Still Serving Veterans include positions as a Veteran Support Services Counselor, Special Projects Coordinator, and Veteran Career & Transition Virtual Counselor, focusing on resource coordination and employment counseling. Prior to this, Jaymie worked as a Loan Originator at First Federal Mortgage, a top-performing Realtor at Exit Realty of the Valley, and held various roles in graphic design and business management. Jaymie is pursuing further education at The University of Alabama in Huntsville and has a strong background in community engagement and relationship management.
Still Serving Veterans
Still Serving Veterans, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, established in Huntsville, Alabama in 2006, provides Veterans and their families, transitioning service members, and members of the Guard and Reserves with employment services including career planning, job search strategy development, resume preparation, and interview preparations. Additionally, we work closely with Veteran-friendly employers to fill positions with well-qualified, screened Veterans. All services are provided at no charge to either client or employer. In addition, through its Huntsville office, Still Serving Veterans provides VA Benefits and Services counseling and can connect Veterans and their families in need of assistance from other public and private service providers. Still Serving Veterans recently received the Nonprofit of the Year award from the Huntsville/Madison Chamber of Commerce, the Nonprofit of the Year from the Madison Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau's Torch award for ethics. Additionally, Still Serving Veterans is a recipient of the Call of Duty Endowment's (CODE) coveted Seal of Distinction. Still Serving Veterans is a trusted advocate for Veterans and their families and participates on the Governor's Alabama Veterans Network Executive Commission (AlaVetNet), the VA's new My VA, and several regional coalitions of Veterans organizations.
