Barbara Barbaro

Barbara Barbaro has a diverse work experience in the field of biologics, starting as a student at the University of Messina from 1993 to 1998. Barbara then progressed to roles at the University of Illinois at Chicago from 2004 to 2019, where they held positions as a Research Specialist and Research Assistant Professor in Surgery, specializing in islet transplantation. In 2017, they worked as a Senior Quality Assurance Advisor at Otsuka America Pharmaceutical. Their leadership experience includes roles such as Chief Manufacturing Officer at Diatranz Otsuka Limited from 2018 to 2020 and Director of Operations at Rubhu Biologics Inc. from 2020 to 2021. Currently, Barbara is the Director of R&D Biologics at StimLabs from August 2021 onwards.

Barbara Barbaro holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biology, General from the University of Messina, Italy. Barbara further pursued their education at the same university and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell Biology and Biotechnology.
