Kawa Hassan

Kawa Hassan serves as a Nonresident Fellow in the Middle East & North Africa Program at the Stimson Center, where responsibilities include policy research and co-leading the Iran-Saudi Dialogue Initiative. Previously, Kawa Hassan was the Executive Director of Stimson Europe, managing various diplomatic projects and ensuring operational continuity after transferring the MENA Program from the EastWest Institute. Experience also includes serving as a Subject Matter Expert for NATO's Mission Iraq Strategic Assessment Capability, Vice President at the EastWest Institute overseeing multiple diplomacy initiatives, and roles in research and program management at various organizations. Kawa Hassan holds a Master of Science in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam.
