Derek Welsman is a seasoned audio engineer and imaging director with extensive experience in radio and podcast production. Currently serving as the National Imaging Director for Classic Hits at Stingray since March 2024, Derek collaborates with key personnel to elevate station branding and boost ratings. Additional freelance roles include audio engineering for the Sick Man Talking Podcast, the University of Toronto’s Mass Timber Institute series, and the Twenty First Century Imperative Podcast. Past experience encompasses significant positions at Rogers Communications, The Frantics Comedy Troupe, Corus Entertainment, and Bell, where Derek contributed to successful branding and production projects. Derek holds a Bachelor’s degree in Radio & Television Arts from Ryerson University, obtained in 1995.
