Nahid Hossain (He/Him)

Nahid Hossain (He/Him) has over two decades of experience in the IT industry. Nahid started their career in 1997 as an IT Analyst at BAT. In 2001, they joined aamra companies as Manager of Software Engineering and R&D, and later became Head of Research and Development and Sr. Software Engineer. In 2005, they co-founded Stitel Networks, LLC. as Vice President & CTO, offering converged communication solutions for the business aviation industry, military grade secure solutions for defense and government, end-to-end communication solutions for aircraft manufacturers, DO-160 compliant avionics hardware, and custom software development and integration. In 2006, they co-founded BroTecs Technologies Ltd. as Managing Director & CTO, offering satellite communication solutions for aviation, marine, oil & gas, highly secure solutions for defense and government, HIPAA compliant solutions for healthcare industry, software development expertise in Industry 4.0, cyber security solutions and services, and custom software development including mobile apps, IoT, cloud solutions, AI/ML and embedded platforms. In 2016, they co-founded Chef Genie Ltd. as Director & CTO. In 2022, they were appointed Chairman of the 4IR Standing Committee at Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS).

Nahid Hossain has a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering.
