Steven Brooder

Steve Brooder is the Chief Executive Officer for St. Matthew’s House. He has over 30 years of for-profit and nonprofit management experience in programs, operations, sales & marketing, finance & accounting, planning & budgeting, and development. In the past, he has served as Director of Strategic Initiatives and Regional Director for two international companies.

He has been active with nonprofit groups including working with NGOs in host countries to provide highly skilled workers, developing sustainable housing for the most disadvantaged areas around the world, starting urban gardens in blighted areas, and helping homeless families with school-age children.

Before moving to Southwest Florida in 2002, Mr. Brooder was the Managing Partner of Royce International, an international marketing consulting firm for 15 years. He also served as vice president for a large statewide trade association. He is a graduate of Penn State University and earned his MBA at Gannon University. He also became a PROSCI Certified Change Practitioner in 2020.
