Dhiren Ponnusamy

Dhiren Ponnusamy is an experienced finance and leadership professional with a robust background in various senior executive roles. Currently serving as Chairperson of the SEM Listing Executive Committee at The Stock Exchange of Mauritius Ltd. since July 2023, Dhiren is also the Chairperson of the Audit & Risk Committee at Mauritius Sugar Syndicate, and has held multiple key leadership positions at Medine Group from January 2018 to May 2025, including Group Chief Executive Officer and Group Chief Operating Officer. Dhiren has extensive board experience, including serving as Independent Director and Chair of the Risk Committee at State Bank of India from November 2020 to January 2024, as well as managing director roles at Standard Chartered Bank, where responsibilities included financial planning, analysis, and performance management across multiple regions. Dhiren’s educational background includes a BSc (Hons) in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
