Bridget Brown

Mentor at Stock Market Mentor

Bridget Brown has been with SMM/OMM since 2015. After growing up in Ohio, she graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a degree in Engineering Physics and was an officer in the US Air Force for 6 years. She first started learning how to trade in 2012 when her boyfriend encouraged her to take an online class. After she left the Air Force in 2013, she decided to really commit a lot more time to hone her skills.

She has had multiple mentors over the years help her develop her skills. Since she does not have a large account, she focuses mainly on options trading. Bridget had very mixed success with options for the first few years of trading. She seemed to be pretty good at reading charts and doing technical analysis but couldn’t turn that into profitable trades. It wasn’t until she learned the value of selling options over buying them that she finally started seeing some consistent success. She is also our resident ThinkorSwim expert.

Bridget considers herself more of a swing trader than a trend follower. Typically looking for stocks that are overbought or oversold and selling options against those moves. Her other favorite trades are the squeeze breakout and IPO trade. She frequently uses moving averages, MACD, Implied Volatility Rank and Fibonacci levels to aide in her trading.

She really enjoys teaching others about stocks, options, and technical analysis and has produced many tutorials that are in the SMM/OMM Tutorials section of the website.
