Jake Ruth

Jake Ruth has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and entrepreneurship. Jake is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Stock Unlock, where they lead a team in developing a financial education platform. Prior to that, Jake worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Oscar Health, where they built various backend services and web applications. Jake also had a role as a Software Engineer at Oscar Health, where they collaborated with product managers and designers to align tools with company goals.

Before joining Oscar Health, Jake was the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder at Youni, Inc., where they developed an iOS mobile app and RESTful API hosted on AWS. Jake also worked as an Associate Software Engineer at CommerceHub, collaborating on RESTful web services and participating in the on-call rotation.

In addition to their professional roles, Jake has also worked as a Private Contractor at My Plast Brain, where they designed and developed web games. Jake gained experience as a Software Engineer Intern at CommerceHub, contributing to a groovy on grails project. Furthermore, they served as a Teaching Assistant at the University at Albany, assisting students with programming projects.

Throughout their career, Jake has demonstrated a strong passion for software engineering, personal finance, and teaching others about financial markets and investment concepts.

Jake Ruth attended Pleasantville High School. Following high school, they went on to study at the University at Albany, SUNY. Jake was enrolled from 2011 to 2015 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Applied Math.
