Derek Wall

Derek Wall is a Silicon Valley–based serial entrepreneur and investor who has founded and led multiple technology ventures and investment entities. They co-founded StockApp (stealth) with Charles Feng and secured $10 million in pre-seed funding; the startup is associated with StartX P25 at Stanford University. They are the founder of Wildfire Venture Partner, a private family office focused on investments in spatial computing, B2B SaaS, robotics (RaaS), and AI. Their prior ventures include BuyNow at Buy.com, which Rakuten acquired for $250 million in 2010, and HUBX, launched in 2018 and achieving billions in GMV across 133 countries. They were born and raised in Silicon Valley into a family of tech startup entrepreneurs, faced dyslexia, dropped out of high school in their senior year, and later enrolled at Harvard Business School in 2017 to study disruptive innovation, which led to writing a final thesis on disrupting B2B.
