Anwen Hughes

Anwen Hughes is a Research Manager and Deputy Director (Operations) at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and the University of York, with extensive expertise in environmental research and management since August 2019. Previously, Anwen held roles such as Associate/Technical Director at Golder and Principal/Senior Hydrogeologist at the Carl Bro Group, among other positions in groundwater and environmental science. Anwen's academic background includes a PhD in Hydrogeology/Hydrochemistry and an MSc in Hydrogeology from the University of Birmingham, as well as a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and Geological Sciences from the University of Leeds. Anwen is dedicated to securing funding, building partnerships, and delivering impactful research to promote sustainable development solutions.
