Gunnar Steinn Ásgeirsson started their work experience in 2010 as an Assistant on a Project Management project at Verkís. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as an Assistant in SID at Marorka. In 2012, they joined the University of Reykjavík as an Assistant in a Research Project. In 2013, they worked as an MSc Student - Thesis project at CorPower Ocean. From 2014 to 2017, they held the role of Development Engineer and Teamleader at CorPower Ocean, where they led the simulation and modeling team, developed models for numerical simulations of wave buoys, and analyzed numerical results from simulations. Gunnar Steinn also performed experimental tests on wave buoys in France. Starting in 2017, Gunnar began working as a Data Scientist at Stockholm Exergi.
Gunnar Steinn Ásgeirsson completed their education in a chronological order with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Háskóli Íslands, which they pursued from 2007 to 2010. Following this, they went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology between 2011 and 2013.
