Gavin S.

Gavin S. has a diverse range of work experience in the software engineering field. Gavin started their career at Internetware Limited as a Web Developer, where they worked on two development projects using Wordpress and Kohana 3 Framework. Gavin then joined WEMS International as a Software Engineer, where they took control of an existing platform built with Zend Framework 1 and BackboneJS. Gavin was responsible for deployments, releases, and developing further features for the platform. After that, Gavin worked at Inviqa as a Software Engineer, gaining experience in working with virtualization and understanding Chef/Capistrano. Gavin also collaborated with remote teams and traveled as required. Gavin then joined Markup, where they initially served as a Systems Architect and later transitioned into the role of a Software Engineer. At Markup, they worked on a Symfony-based e-commerce solution used by major players in the retail space, involving maintenance and feature development of the core platform. Currently, Gavin is a Senior Software Engineer at Stockopedia.

Gavin S. began their education at Lowton High School, where they attended from the years 2001 to 2006. Following their completion of high school, they pursued a degree in Computer Software Engineering at Wigan & Leigh College, from 2006 to 2011. Afterward, Gavin furthered their education at Northumbria University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science between 2011 and 2012.
