Dan Shanahan has a solid background in engineering and applications management. Dan has extensive experience in the technology equipment sector, having worked at Stockwell Elastomerics as the Director of Applications Engineering and Application Engineering Manager. In these roles, they provided technical support for customers, selected materials, resolved design challenges, and suggested manufacturing processes. Prior to that, they worked as an Application Engineer at the same company, supporting customers in advanced technology, aerospace, defense, and medical industries.
Before joining Stockwell Elastomerics, Dan worked as a Product Design Engineer at DESIGNLYNX LLC, where they provided mechanical engineering services to various clients, creating and developing product concepts with a focus on manufacturing.
Dan also has experience at LaFrance Corp, where they held roles such as Team Leader - Global Account Manager - Mobile Devices, Project Manager, and Design Engineer. In these positions, they designed plastic and metal enclosures for electronics and protective cases for consumer products, working with software tools like Pro/Engineer and Solidworks.
Early in their career, Dan gained experience as a Design Engineer Intern at Sikorsky Aircraft.
Dan Shanahan attended Drexel University from 2000 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Dan also earned a separate Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics during the same period.
