Ian Mellor has a diverse range of work experience in various leadership positions. Ian began their career at Makers as a Project Manager from 1992 to 2003. Ian then joined STONBURY LIMITED, where they served as Contracts Director from 2008 to 2012 and later as Director & General Manager from 2012 to 2015. Afterward, they joined Kingcombe Aquacare Ltd as Managing Director from 2017 to 2018. Currently, Ian holds significant roles at Stonbury, including Operations Director from 2015 to 2018 and Group Managing Director from 2018 to the present, before taking on the position of Chief Operating Officer in 2021.

Ian Mellor attended Bradon Forest School from 1981 to 1986, where they obtained various O Levels. Ian then went on to study Building Studies at New College Swindon from 1986 to 1989, earning an HNC degree. In 1990, they obtained an additional certification in HNC Building Studies. Later, in 2013, they obtained a certification in NEBOSH Construction. Most recently, in December 2019, Ian Mellor received the Leadership Impact Award from Vistage UK.
