Teresa Olson has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Teresa began their career in 1989 at Cargill Inc, Juice Division, where they worked as a Microbiology and Chemist Lab Supervisor for over a decade. Teresa then moved on to Silliker Laboratories, where they served as the Microbiology Operations Supervisor for six years. In 2009, Teresa joined Faribault Foods, Inc as a Quality Assurance Scientist, where they led the development and implementation of the Safe Quality Food Code certification program. Teresa also managed the Document Control system and ensured compliance with internal audit schedules. Teresa then worked at J&J Distributing as a Quality Assurance Director from 2012 to 2014, before joining Stone Gate Foods as the Director of Quality Systems. In their current role, they are responsible for implementing and maintaining SQF Level 2 Registration and monitoring food safety risks and program compliance for the entire company. In addition to their food industry experience, Teresa has also held honorary consul positions and served as the chair of the Santiago Sister Cities program at Meet Minneapolis. Through their rich work experience, Teresa has developed a strong expertise in quality systems and food safety.
Teresa Olson holds a degree in Food Microbiology from INACAP, which they obtained from 1981 to 1986. Teresa also obtained a degree in Micology from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from 1983 to 1987. Additionally, Teresa has earned certifications in Auditor from the SQF Institute in 2017, PCQI from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance in 2016, and Implementing SQF Systems from the SQF Institute in 2009.
