Senior Associate Solicitor at Stone King

Alexandra obtained a degree in Egyptology and worked in Archaeology and the Museum sector before qualifying as a Solicitor. Originally a banking and finance lawyer with Slaughter and May she moved to Stone King in 2004 to specialise in charity law. Since then she has gained extensive experience in assisting charities of all kinds with incorporations, re-structuring, rationalising permanent endowment, dealing with conflicts of interest and negotiating with the Charity Commission, as well as assisting those wishing to set up a charity to find the right structure for them. She has particular expertise in Governance (co-founding the Governance and Company Secretary Forum with Guide Dogs for the Blind); assisting faith based charities adapt their religious mission to the charitable landscape; museums and independent schools.

She is a member of the Charity Law Association, Ecclesiastical Law Society, the Conference for Solicitors for Catholic Charities, is one of the organisation team of the Catholic Charity Conference, and is a Trustee of The Roman Baths Foundation.
