Joe Christo currently serves as the Chief Resilience Officer at Boston Harbor Now and Managing Director at Stone Living Lab, both positions held since July 2022. Prior to these roles, Joe was the Senior Resilience and Waterfront Planner at the Boston Planning & Development Agency from January 2019 to July 2022 and Program Director at the Mayor's Office of New Urban Mechanics in the City of Boston from June 2017 to December 2018. Joe's experience in New York City includes various positions in the Mayor's Office of Housing Recovery and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services, with roles spanning from December 2008 to September 2015. Earlier career highlights include serving as Communications Director at the Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy at Northeastern University (2005-2008) and Associate Editor at John Hancock Financial Services (2002-2004). Joe holds a Master's Degree in Community Planning and Environmental Planning from the University of Maryland, a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Political Science, all from Northeastern University.
