Bronwyn (Heather) Bleakley is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in biology education and evolutionary research. Currently serving as the Fr. Francis Hurley CSC Endowed Chair of Biology, Department Chair, and Associate Professor at Stonehill College since August 2010, Bronwyn teaches courses in evolution, animal behavior, and genetics, while also overseeing the biology curriculum. Previously, Bronwyn held positions at Smith College and the University of Exeter, focusing on genetics and evolutionary studies. A PhD holder in Evolutionary Biology from Indiana University Bloomington, Bronwyn's doctoral research explored the genetic influences on cooperative behavior in guppies and is complemented by a foundational Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona.
