Brandon Mathews

CEO at Stonestep

Brandon Mathews has been working in the corporate world since 1992. Brandon began their career at General Motors Europe, where they were responsible for Aftersales Products. During this role, they designed and implemented an algorithm and software to automate audit of 7,300 points of sale, and managed multiple product recall campaigns in 21 markets, including GM's largest ever (at the time). Brandon also relaunched GM Europe's quick-service chain "MasterFit". In 1998, Mathews moved to AIG, where they held two roles: Regional Profit Center Executive and IT and Operations Director. In 2007, they joined Zurich Insurance Company as the Head of Emerging Consumer. In 2012, Mathews founded and became the CEO of Stonestep SA. Finally, in 2022, they joined the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) as the Global Coordinator V20 Sustainable Insurance Facility, where they are responsible for protecting small businesses in V20 markets.

Brandon Mathews received their Masters in Management & IT from New York University in 2004, following their Bachelor of English from the University of Rochester in 1992.
