Tim Metzger has extensive work experience in the specialty food industry. Tim started their career in 1981 at Pasta and Cheese, Inc. as the VP of Sales. The company experienced rapid growth and went public before being acquired by Carnation and later renamed Contadina. Metzger then worked at The Gilway Co. as the VP of Sales and Marketing, overseeing sales and marketing activities for imported specialty foods. In 1993, they became the U.S. Sales Agent for Europeenne de Condiments, representing the largest French private label producer of Dijon Mustards. In 2002, Metzger founded Metzger Specialty Brands and became the Owner of Tillen Farms, a brand of Northwest grown pickled vegetables and cherries. Tim successfully sold the brand in 2018 and joined Stonewall Kitchen as the Tillen Farms Brand Ambassador. In 2019, Metzger started their own consulting firm, Coldbrooke Management Consulting, offering strategic counsel to start-ups and growth companies in the specialty food space. In addition, they have been actively involved in the Specialty Food Association (SFA), serving on the board of directors and being inducted into the SFA Hall of Fame.
Tim Metzger attended Middlebury College from 1970 to 1974, where they earned their B.A. degree with a major in German and a minor in Economics. Tim then went on to pursue their MBA degree in Marketing at NYU Stern School of Business from 1980 to 1986.
