Norbert Simon

Norbert Simon has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Norbert started their career at Senatul Universității Babeș-Bolyai as a Student Senator, representing students from different faculties. Norbert then worked as an Intern at Nemzetpolitikai Kutatóintézet, organizing conferences and participating in discussions on Hungarian national and minority policies.

Following that, Norbert gained experience as an Editor at Kolozsvaros.ro, where they were responsible for writing and uploading articles, as well as managing and organizing tasks. Norbert also briefly worked as a Customer Service Representative at Sykes (Samsung Electronics Hungary).

Norbert then transitioned to the finance and accounting sector, starting as a Finance and Accounting Process Analyst at Capgemini, where they handled various accounting tasks for different entities. Norbert further developed their skills as a Purchase to Pay Administrator at Heineken Global Shared Services.

In 2017, Norbert joined Philip Morris International as an Accounts Payable Accountant, where they ensured compliance with regulations and assisted in internal and external audits.

Norbert then moved to ABB, where they worked as an Accounts Payable Senior Specialist, focusing on reconciliations, SOX Internal Controls, and handling escalations. Norbert also took on the role of General Accounting (GL) Specialist for a brief period.

In 2020, Norbert joined UBS as a Business Risk Manager, and their responsibilities involved managing business risks within the organization.

Currently, Norbert works at StoneX Group Inc. as the Enterprise PMO Operations Lead, overseeing project costs, advising on cost estimation and time management, building demand management processes, and preparing business cases for new projects. Norbert also facilitates meetings and ensures effective change control.

Norbert Simon obtained a Master's degree in Contemporary History and International Relations from Babes-Bolyai University from 2012 to 2014. Norbert also obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in 2013. In addition, they earned a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and European Studies from Babes-Bolyai University from 2009 to 2012. Norbert pursued further studies in European Studies/Civilization at Jagiellonian University and International Relations at Palacký University in Olomouc in 2011. Norbert Simon has also obtained additional certifications, including a Salesforce Administrator Certificate from Trailhead by Salesforce (expected completion in 2023), an International Financial Accounting Certificate from London School of Accountancy & Management in 2015, a Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English from Cambridge English Language Assessment in 2014, and completed a course on The Ultimate MySQL Bootcamp from Udemy (year not specified).
