Brandon Hanzal

Assistant Chief at Stoney Point Fire Department

Brandon Hanzal possesses extensive experience in emergency response and management, currently serving as Assistant Chief, Division Commander, Fire Captain, Fire Lieutenant, and Fire Fighter at Stoney Point Fire Department since January 2001. Previously, Brandon held the position of Paramedic at Moore County EMS from November 2012 to August 2019 and served as an Army Medic in the US Army's 82 Airborne Division from August 1999 to September 2003. In terms of education, Brandon earned an Associate of Arts degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Walla Walla Community College and attended Whitworth University in 1998-1999.

Stoney Point Fire Department

The Stoney Point Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1964 and proudly serves not only our community, but also the City of Fayetteville, the town of Hope Mills, and surrounding counties. We are a full-service provider and deliver emergency medical, rescue and fire protection services. Our department is internationally accredited with the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI), achieving initial accreditation in 2012 and re-accredited in 2017. Stoney Point is currently one of only two volunteer fire departments in the United States listed on the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) Accredited Fire/Rescue Agencies Web site.
