Lauren Brookmeyer

Lauren Brookmeyer serves as the Assistant Vice President for Federal Relations at Stony Brook University since May 2014, where responsibilities include leading comprehensive federal lobbying campaigns, securing substantial federal funding, and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders. Previously, Lauren held various roles in government relations at PSEG Long Island and the Long Island Power Authority from September 2011 to April 2014, and served as the Director of Communications for the New York State Health Committee Chairman from August 2009 to August 2011. Lauren's earlier experience includes work as a CBS News Desk Associate in 2009. Lauren holds a Master's Degree in Communication and Rhetorical Studies with distinction and a BA in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Sociology, both from Hofstra University.
