Michael Baran

Michael Baran currently serves as Partner at Pfizer Ventures and holds multiple leadership roles within Pfizer, including Executive Director of Emerging Science & Innovation in Oncology and Senior Director positions in Strategic Portfolio Management and External R&D Innovation for the Asia Pacific Strategy. In addition to their ongoing work at Pfizer since April 2008, Michael Baran is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Stony Brook University since September 2020. Michael Baran also contributes to the biotechnology field as a member of the Board of Directors for several companies, including Imcheck Therapeutics, ImmunOs Therapeutics AG, Mediar Therapeutics, and TRexBio, among others. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biochemistry from Rutgers University, an MBA in Pharmaceutical Management from the same institution, and a Venture Capital Certificate from the University of Michigan.
