Shawn Mroz

Shawn Mroz currently serves as the Executive Director of Gift Planning at Stony Brook University, a position held since June 2022. Prior experience includes roles at Northwell Health as Director and Senior Advisor for Gift Planning from December 2012 to June 2022, and as a Senior Development Officer for Planned Giving and Major Gifts at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from March 2011 to September 2012. Mroz has also worked at Columbia University as Associate Director for Gift Planning and at Vassar College as Assistant Director of Planned Giving. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Planned Giving Assistant at North Shore Animal League America and as Special Projects Manager at Neuberger Berman. Mroz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross, earned between 1994 and 1998, and is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy.
