Yacov Shamash

Yacov Shamash is a distinguished academic serving as a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stony Brook University College of Engineering and Applied Sciences since September 1992. Yacov Shamash held pivotal roles at Stony Brook University, including Vice President for Economic Development from 2002 to 2019 and Dean of the College of Engineering from 1992 to 2015, in addition to serving as Dean of the College of Business from 1995 to 2004. Prior experience includes the position of Director of the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Washington State University from 1985 to 1992. Yacov Shamash earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy in Control Systems from Imperial College of Science and Technology, London.
